Freeware Descriptions:
OCCT is a free CPU/memory stability test.
Here is complete features (taken from authors site):
OCCT comes from “OverClock Checking Tool”. Here is a list of its features:
- Up to 16-core support ( for instance, up to a Quad-Kentsfield or an Octo-Conroe )
- Customizable tests ( Duration, Priority, CPU or RAM, … )
- CPU and Motherboard detection
- Monitoring support through 3rd party application ( i.e. MBM5, Speedfan and Everest Ultimate Edition 3.50 or above )
- Can produce graphs showing temperature and voltages during the test : Unique feature !
- Multi-language support
MAJOR FEATURES:
- OCCT’s main UI has been completly revamped
- Graphs now shows a 2nd line showing the CPU usage / FPS during the test.
- CPU usage is now instantaneous instead of an average since the start of the test
- OCCT now has 5 different tests. The descriptions are at the end of the changelog
USER INTERFACE:
- Entirely revamped - now based on tabs, and completly modular
- Now has a small help module - just move your mouse around OCCT’s window, you’ll see
MONITORING:
- The built-in engine has been updated - lots of new hardware are now supported
- Alot of bugs are fixed, included the famous “3 cores out of 4 detected”
GRAPHS:
- Graphs now shows a second line showing the CPU usage/FPS during the test
- A legend explains everything
- The test configuration is now entirely present in the graph’s subtitles
What’s New in version 3.1.0 Beta 4:
Main (OCCT GUI):
- GPU:OCCT v0.70 has been integrated !
- OCCT now detects and displays the name of your graphic card (only if it supports internal monitoring, i’m relying on CPU-Z to do this detection)
- OCCT now auto-configure the Shader complexity value based on a CSV file named “ShaderComplexity.csv” file that you can edit. First match on the GC name wins. Wildcards are supported. Edit the file, it’s pretty easy to understand.
- A compatibility checking engine has been implemented, that improves OCCT’s detection of your computer’s compatibility with Cuda and D3D tests.
GPU:3D v0.70 (compared to v0.5 branch):
- Much, much, much more stressfull. I can say it’s the most stressfull algorithm on earth.
- Use the shader complexity to adjust the shader, and the test. On some cards, some values are much better than others. For instance, value 3 is far better on HD4XXX than 4… on GeForce GTX280, 8 seems better. OCCT will suggest the best one for you, if known. 1 is the default.
- The error detection algorithm has been completly revamped, and is ENORMOUSLY better. You’ll see. Give it a shot in error checking mode. I’ve never been so enthousiastic about a test
- Shader technology switch from CG to HLSL
